Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 10/19/2008

Number: 500

We saw trees full of Monarchs in south Austin. It looked like the pictures we saw in Mexico. I wish I has my camera It was unreal!

Editor's Note: This observer did not specify the number of monarchs present, although the roosts appear to have been large. We are estimating a minimum of 500 butterflies and are marking this record as a JN staff estimate.
