It is spawning season for the kokanee salmon where I saw this Bald Eagle. The first time I saw it, it was sitting on a fallen tree crossing a creek, easy dinner that way!
Then it flew away, having noticed me watching it. However, it was not long before it circled again and again, giving me ample photo opportunities. Gorgeous bird!
