Trick or treat? We thought planting our bulbs on Hallween would be the perfect treat. Since the temperature was just above freezing early this morning, we waited until 10:30 to plant. Our science teacher, Mrs. Clore, helped us by preparing the soild yesterday. She loosened the dirt to making digging easier, and she added compost from the compost pile we keep beside our Lower School garden. Taking scraps from the cafeteria each day for the compost pile is a 4th grade responsibility.
We planted 47 bulbs. One student was absent, so he'll add one more bulb when he returns. Once the photos are on our class website, we'll report that address. We have contacted our sister schools in India and China to see if they want to participate, so we'll keep you posted.
