I planted tulips in two places this year, 1) in the center of our vegetable garden and 2) on the south side of my house. The first site is my official garden. The second site has too many variables to be considered an experimental site. (I planted it primarily to remind me to check the offical site!) I also want to see how much variation there will be. Both sites have full exposure to the sun, but the site beside my house is usually covered in deep snow that has fallen from the roof.
