On my porch at this moment are 11 adult Monarch caterpillars on questionably healthy milkweed plants. In a bucket, being fed fresh milkweed leaves from my garden, are 19 fairly small, and growing rapidly, Monarch caterpillars. Two large caterpillars are clinging to stems on a milkweed outdoors. I am running out of leaves and the best place to buy fresh, unsprayed plants, is covered with a termite tent so I am hoping I can get all these guys to butterfly status before they starve to death. A couple of the older caterpillars appear to be going into their "J" position. That is a good sign, I think!
