Our class planned a variety of designs in our wedge-shaped plot. We voted to select the best design, and the "Eyeball of the Future" design won. We used a ruler to plot the design in our garden space so that each hole was 6 inches apart. Our class dug holes 7 inches deep. We set aside the dirt, then checked the depth by putting a ruler in the hole and measuring 7 inches. We put fertilizer in each hole, then put a bulb in each hole. We put the dirt back in each hole. Altogether, we planted 19 tulip bulbs 7 inches deep and 6 inches apart from each other.
