On a beautiful and unseasonally warm Monday, 44 preschoolers planted our 50 tulip bulbs. There was much excitement about whose turn would it be to go outside next. It was as much fun to put on the rubber boots and garden gloves as it was to dig. Several chidren were thrilled to find worms and grubs in their holes and insisted on sharing them with the class. Putting the bulb in with the point up was as important as giving each bulb their bone meal food. Now our garden if full to craft sticks marking the spots where we hope to see tulips in the spring.
