Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 11/06/2008

Number: 1

We went up to the lower parking
lot of EL Rosario. i got the impression we
were the first carload of tourists to arrive
and everyone was extremely friendly, but Don
Bruno´s wasn´t even open in Angangueo, nor the restaurant.
We found los arcos open on the square across from the
church in el centro at angangueo.
half way up to el rosario there were thousands of monarchs
streaming up the mountain and flying all around
, but we
were told they were forming clusters on the small hill
just behind angangueo, but not so much up in the reserves
as of yet.
