My Kindergarten class planted our tulip bulbs on Friday, November 14, 2008. Our weather in Kentucky had been unseasonably warm and dry this fall. This past week we finally got rain which made the soil workable and day time highs in the 50's. I created a Kindergarten friendly picture chart (which I would love to share)explaining the protocol for planting. Our class discussed each of these rules along with rules for depth and width of placment of the bulbs, and why they were important. We decided on planting in front of the school near our school sign for all to see. We took pictures and video to share. Our planting was successful and followed the protocol.
