We saw a monarch on one of our plants outside today...we also have a milkweed plant on our property that had about 15 caterpillars we first found in mid November, 3 female monarchs were born, with 5 more chrysalis very close to becoming butterflies. We brought the caterpillars inside so they didn't freeze with the colder weather and have watched them progress and took lots of pictures if you're interested...I wasn't sure if they were supposed to be doing this right now, it seems very late and cold for them to be born now??
