Signs of Fall

Date: 12/09/2008

Number: 1

I told a friend about what I saw and heard and I was informed it was probably whooping cranes. I thought I heard a loud 'clicking' sound from the trees. Later I learned it was a contact noise whooping cranes make. There were 13 and flying in formation headed south. There was about a 20 mile an hour wind from the east and cloudy. It was about 8:30 AM. They would switch formation somewhat, and I heard their noise about 5 times. It was absolutely wonderful.
