We are 2 second grade classes at Holmes Elementary in San Diego, California. We received our tulip bulbs in the mail and since we live in a warm climate we had to "trick" the tulips into thinking they were in a cold, frozen place for at least 6 weeks. We placed them in their winter home, otherwise known as the refrigerator. We will prepare a garden bed for them in January when we take them out of the fridge to be planted in the ground. We are excited to watch and wait for Spring to arrive across the globe.
