We've had hummingbirds here all year. I heard their sounds during snowy weather in January of this year. I rushed to put out a feeder fearing they wouldn't be able to find food. They stayed; they gave birth to two babies, and then, when the young birds were on their own, the parents disapeared. The two young ones are still here. I think other hummingbirds have fed here in the summer, and a few, very few, still come once in awhile. I am wondering why those first two hummingbirds showed up here in January (especially since I hadn't been feeding them here for a couple of years)? Are there hummingbirds who stay all year round here in the Mid-Willamette Valley?
