We actually went gardening for a couple of days:weeding, clearing,digging, and planting the bulbs. The second graders had a blast finding the worms and other things in the soil. Armed with their rulers, they made sure they dig about 7 inches deep before planting the bulbs. One of the parents built picket fences for our Tulip Garden. The kids take turns watering the garden. This is such a great learning experience for the kids! We just can't wait for the Tulips to bloom!
