My third grade science classes at Episcopal Day School in Southern Pines, North Carolina planted 62 Red Emperior tulip bulbs on December 18, 2008. We measured our holes to the specification of the directions given. Each child was given two bulbs to plant and two sticks to label with their name. We covered our garden with chicken wire to keep the many squirrels on our campus from eating the bulbs.
