Ms. Johnson's second grade students planted their tulips in front of the school with the help of the City of Albany gardener,Judy Stacey, and Carol Ann Margolis, education coordinator of Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center. This is the third year Mrs. Johnson's students have planted tulips at Giffen ES. The tulip festival this May in Albany will have 209,000 tulips planted in honor of 2009, which is the year Henry Hudson arrived on his boat 400 years ago. We are a Capital City Garden...please visit our tulips!!!!!!!!
