Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 12/28/2008

Number: 1

I reported here regarding a larva I found on 11/26/08, at Independence, CA. This critter finally has become an adult Monarch, after breaking out of its chrysalis on the 28th day after pupating. We are keeping it inside, with flowers from the market and fruit juice for food. I would greatly appreciate hearing from anybody who can tell me whether the 28 days in the chrysalis has precedent. Thanks.
