As I was returning home on December 26, I was greeted by a flock of robins who were feasting on the berries of a thornbush outside my yard. To my surprise, they returned to my front lawn two days later, on December 28. I have never spotted robins this early--or this late!!--in the season. I am going to keep an eye out in the event that I need to purchase some worms if they return. Today, New Year's Eve, we are having a beautiful New England snowstorm to end the year.
