Practice Report (Any Species)

Date: 01/07/2009

Number: 1

January 7,2009. After taking my niece to school,we had (ice and freezing rain),I pulled up infront of my house and my eyes focused on an object sitting on a tree limb in front of my house. It was about two feet or more in height. I sat there
watching for atleast one min. studying the features. It sat there like a statue turing it's head once. I moved slowly getting out of my car, when I got my head out to look again,
it was gone. I didn't see him/her fly away or hear wings fluttering or see the branch limb move, it was gone just that fast. I did a photo check on the computer and it was a Bald Eagle...
Is this sighting rare for his area?
