The class measured the correct depth for planting on the sunniest side of both spots chosen - one set directly in the front of the school, one set directly in the front of the school sign at the entrance of the driveway into the school. The soil was mulched and turned several times before planting. The ground in both areas is now snow and ice covered, waiting for spring to arrive.
