Robin (First HEARD singing)

Date: 01/14/2009

Number: 1

Yesterday I saw about 15 Robins in my yard (at 2700 feet) and in the trees. They were singing their springtime song. Tonight and tomorrow night will be in the single digits and I am hoping they'll be OK. Could they have come early from points south, or perhaps they came farther south from their wintering grounds in Ohio (some stay there all year) in anticipation of the cold blast from the arctic. They sure sounded like springtime. Any thoughts? Thanks, Jim.

Confirmed:The Robin Morning Song and the Robin Song are similar, but the Robin Song was the song they sang.
