Observed upwards of 50 robins, mostly male, in the trees behind my house. Most of them were chomping on what remained of the buckthorn berries while the rest just roosted and fluffed their feathers. I thought it somewhat unusual to see a large group of them in January as I haven't seen many overwintering here in some time.
