Practice Report (Any Species)

Date: 01/17/2009

Number: 1

On a wintry morning with about 14 inches of snow on the ground and the temperature well below zero, to my surprise I see in my backyard a pair of robins. I'm excited, because should I be seeing robins in Ohio in January. Once I find by binoculars, not only did I see a pair of robins, but there are a tree full of them. I go to my computer to ask the question should I be seeing robins in Ohio in January. As a second grade teacher, I generally tell my students that robins are a migratory bird, and we should be seeing them in winter. I find this extraordinary site. Thank you!
