Yesterday my husband and I saw ROBINS outside our window in the middle of a NORTHEAST SNOWSTORM! I have lived in Marlborough, Massachusetts for 54 Years and have NEVER seen such beautiful Robins!
They were perched on the trees in our back yard! All puffed out to warm themselves from the cold, and their breasts were a bright rusty colored red like nothing I have ever seen on a Robin! The feathers looked almost furlike! Didn't get a photo.
I went to the garage to get some seed to throw out. The seed sank into the snow. Then they were gone. About 10 to 15 birds.
What a treat!
