I saw hundreds of robins -- perhaps a thousand -- all in one city block. It was the biggest flock I have ever seen. One of my neighbors said he had seen them in the same place today. The block has a steep hill on one side that is thickly landscaped with evergreen and deciduous trees and several kinds of bushes.
