I have seen 1-3 robins regularly this winter in my yard- like they didn't migrate. Yesterday I counted 20 at one time feeding on the abundant crab apples on the ground and on the tree. They were joined by a group of grackels (?). My feeder entertains the sparrows, juncos, cardinals, blue jay, and chickodees but I feed intermittantly. The robins winter feathers seem to be augmented by snow white downy feathers appearing like they sat in the snow and it stuck. It has been consistantly below freezing the last week or so and the ground is lightly covered with snow.
