I wasn't going to report this until I saw that the migration of the Monarch has begun. And now I ask, Can Spring be that far away? Here in Central New York State we haven't seen above 32 degrees for over 20 to 25 day's with a number of 0 and below nights. With a total of 110" of snow already fallen on a yearly average of 116" and we had our one day of Jan thaw yesterday at 43 degrees. Decided to bring in the Christmas light cords. Had one of the cords above the ground on a metal post with a 6" plastic holder in the ground. The ground wasn't frozen because of the snow depth and less than 1/2" into the ground holding onto the plastic wedge was a Redworm - Eisinea Foetida - munching on a Dandelion leaf. Just found it interesting. BTW It's snowing with a 4 degree windchill today 1/24.
