Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 01/15/2009

Number: 1

I have had monarchs through the entire winter. At one point I had about 30 caterpillars and they ate all of the milkweed and were forced to pupa, I believe early.I finally found more milkweed.
Those plants are doing well and all the cuttings and old plants have already begun new leaf growth.
At present I have many eggs, three pupa that I can see on my patio and one caterpillar handing today.
I have had three butterflies born with crippled wings and one hat could not move its wings at all but was fully developed otherwise.
Would this be because of parasites or other problems.
With the colder temp this last week I had cover them and had a light to help warm but found the caterpillars in the dirt off of the plants. The sun got them going.
One of the caterpillars is discolored almost grayish.
What might this be, My thought is the cold.

I would like to know where are the largest migration stop is in south Fl to space coast area and when.
