Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 01/01/2009

Number: 1

I can provide limited information about San Buenaventura and Carpinteria State Beaches. While monarchs are observed at San Buenaventura State Beach in the winter, I know of no specific locations in the park where they congregate. At Carpinteria State Beach, there are eucalyptus trees on a parcel of private property adjacent to the park along Carpinteria Creek where monarchs are known to assemble during the winter months.
