Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 01/30/2009

Number: 1

At about 4:30 P.M., at least 20 robins were seen together hungrily eating--pecking at the grass seed or insects in the yard. This location is on the west side of the city near the mountains. The next morning, a robin was singing (like they do)from a tree in the front yard.

The robin was singing in the side yard late this afternoon. It was a cross between the typical robin's song and the "zee-up" chirping. It went from happily chirping to short bits of singing and back to the chirping. Robins will only be around El Paso for a couple of weeks and then migrate north.
