I took a Scottish couple out birding today. We saw hundreds of American Robins in Gates Canyon and near Lake Sonoma, ten miles north of Gates Canyon. Judging from the density of robins, there must have been tens of thousands of robins in the Putah Creek drainage today. Putah Creek is its real name, not a put-on to get your Spanish-speaking students to twitter.
