In the midst of the snow and ice of our electricity blackout here in Louisville, I was pleased to see a wave of robins in my backyard trees Jan 29. I called a friend because i had never seen so many robins at one time. There were 13 in my mulberry tree and then another group - I stopped counting at 15 - was hopping from branch to branch in my spruce tree.
