Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 02/01/2009

Number: 1

We were on vacation at Epcot in Orlando, and lo and behold we saw a male monarch sipping on an impatiens flower. He looked very tattered, faded and missing a bit on the end of its left wing. It was faded and traveled very slowly, but continued to sip. We looked around and did not see others, he was alone. This seems early to be travleing north? I was surprised.
