Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 02/04/2009

Number: 1

Saw two (2) robins in evergreen shrubs surrounding a brick bank.
Surrounding area (east to west) contained a row of Eastern Pines approximately 300 feet long. The rest of the area to the north, south and west was a blacktop (madadam) parking lot. Also of note, the area of the shrubs where robins were seen contained a vine of some sort with orange berries (snow cover to 1 foot would preclude ground search for food).

February 6
Really surprised to see robins this early in the season. Did not see any robins during winter, especially if winter is severe as this one has been. Rarely will see robins in the woods in winter during mild winters, however this has not occurred in at least six or seven years.
