Yesterday I was scratching around in the garage and daydreaming a bit. It finally dawned on me that I was hearing a robin singing. I glanced up into my neighbour's birch tree and there he was at the very top and sang just one more short one for me so that I could be sure I wasn't totally dreaming and then away he flew. It was mid afternoon and I usually one hear robins in the early morning or late afternoon. Feb 10 and a robin singing, I was expecting maybe well into March, not now even though they are over wintering here.
