I saw a robin on Saturday, January 24th, deep in the woods on a sunny day. I was surprised at this, and even more surprised that I've continued to see single robins every few days in our neighborhood. Most seem to be at apple trees that are either growing in old orchards or scattered up and down the roadside. This is unusual! I don't usually see the first robin here until March.
