I saw a very large flock of Red Wings Black Birds in my forest on February 12TH 2009. My guess it was about a thousand birds. I could see their red wings and watched them fly across the fields and land in the trees along the brook. It was a great sight and I was so happy to see them. Last year I saw a Red Wing make her nest in the reeds by the brook. They are my favorite spring bird and I listen to hear the first song from them!
