During our participation in the "Great Backyard Bird Count" sponsored by the Audubon Society, we observed three bald eagles swooping and soaring above us on our school grounds for about 15 minutes. The students observed one approach from the southeast, one from the southwest, and the third from the west. They met right over our heads and started flying in a circle, occasionally swooping down and then soaring back up.
