On my walk to school today, I saw 23 American Robins at one time sitting on a tree. I could not believe my eyes. Absolutely no doubt in my mind, the flock of Robins were singing in the trees, and moving as a large group from one tree to another. I was late for work as I stood there and watched them for 20 minutes. The Robins are WAY TOO EARLY for Central Montana. It’s sunny today, the temperature was 30 degrees when I left the house and just a light breeze from the North. Last year I saw one bird on Feb. 15, but nothing like the numbers I saw today. I have 25 years of records and usually the first Robins arrive on March 15th. Global Warming?
