Well, today my persistence paid off in multiple robin sightings at the National Zoo! Again, this is very late in the year for me to see and/or hear my first one. I was actually able to photograph one of them quite nicely from its rather low perch in a crabapple tree which was still sporting quite a few yummy (thought somewhat shriveled) 'apples' for the birds' enjoyment. I'm not sure who was happier, me or the bird! Fun! Now, if I could only hear one singing...
