We had a significant ice storm on Tuesday, January 27th and into the 28th. Our campus was closed because of the ice and snow, but the robins and I were on campus. As I sat in my office looking out the window I could see an ornamental crab apple loaded with ice encased fruit. About 15 robins were devouring crab applecicles. Because of all the ice, I think food must have been hard to find. I am glad they were on Shawnee State's campus finding some nutrition. The area under the tree was littered with small broken limbs, ice broken off of crab apples, and fallen crab apples still encased in ice.
