Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 11/24/2008

Number: 1

Small cluster of monarchs are overwintering at Rio Salado Restoration Habitat along the Salt River in Phoenix. When weather is favorable they nectar on seep willow. We saw them first in November and as of yesterday (2/20/09) they are still here although we know they will leave soon. They are tagged with BLUE tags (S/W Monarch Study)so contact swmonarchs@yahoo.com (and let me know, too!) with the tag# if they come your way.
