A small cluster of monarchs are overwintering in Phoenix in the Rio Salado Restoration Habitat along the Salt River. They arrived in late October and are still present as of yesterday (2/20/09). When weather is favorable they are nectaring on seep willow. They are tagged with blue tags and we know they will be leaving the area soon. If you see one contact Chris Kline at swmonarchs@yahoo.com and let me know, too!
