Two adult bald eagles have been hanging in this area for a few weeks. They are usually seen on low cell towers at the end of the Bayside bridge in Pinellas county Florida. Their presence is aggrivating a pair of Osprey that are nesting near by. I wonder if they have a nest as well. Pinellas county is a narrow peninsula only 8 miles wide and 30 miles long that sticks out into the Gulf of Mexico. The location these eagles are hanging out at is at the mouth of Tampa Bay. this area is rich in wading birds as well as other species that eat fish, Osprey and Pelican. I hope to see if they are banded but could not at this time
