Tulips EMERGED

Date: 02/27/2009

Number: 1

On February 27 Mrs. Janson's science classes discovered about 15 tulips emerging from the muddy ground. They were about 1 - 1 1/2 inches long, and reddish or orange colored. One was sprouting from underneath an chunk of ice, which was dripping on it, giving it water. Some of the dirt has been rearranged by snow plows, and there were a few pieces of litter among the tulips. We will make "Keep off" signs next week.
