Saw my first dark purple crocus in bloom on the ground of the Wardman Park Marriott on this cloudy afternoon...what a day brightener! Also found a trio of white-and-lavender striped crocuses up nearby, one of which had been bitten off by a squirrel, unfortunately. Many other bulbs were beginning to come up as well, included hyacinths with visible buds and tulips galore. YEA!
