American Goldfinch coloration: For the past couple of weeks I've noticed that their wingbars appear to be more "contrasty", with whiter whites and blacker blacks, and now I can see some yellow coloration appearing on their throats and cheeks. They are also appearing in greater numbers at my feeders.
