Oriole (1st Bullock's)

Date: 02/28/2009

Number: 1

This morning I got a glimpse of a male Bullock's Oriole along Oso Creek
trail in Mission Viejo (near intersection of Marguerite and La Paz). Not
surprisingly, it was hanging out in the skirt of an unmaintained palm tree.
It was my first of the season.

Have any orioles overwintered here in Orange County, or is it more probable
that it's one of the earlier arrivals?
