Oriole (1st Bullock's)

Date: 02/21/2009

Number: 1

We birded Oceano Community Pond and parts of the
campground. Out on the peninsula, we had several good looks at a 1st
year male BULLOCK'S ORIOLE. We had scope views as it sat on top of a
snag. The oriole had a bright yellow face with a dark eye-line. The
neck was black, the breast and tail were the same color as the face.
Lower belly was off white .The two wing bars were white and had a
scalloped look.
