It's sunny but VERY cold in Madoc this weekend -12 at noon today - but - I saw a dozen white-tailed deer in small groups of 3 and 4 from my place up to Eldorado - looks like the deer are moving out of the deer yard up in Millbridge today - a sure sign that spring is on its way! There are usually between 100-200 deer that gather in the cedar swampy areas during the winter. there is still a dusting of snow on the fields and many fields are covered in ice but the warmth from the sun is encouraging!
